| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Organized thunderstorms moved east along and ahead of a cold front as it crossed southern Illinois into southwest Indiana during the late afternoon. Compared to places further south, the warm sector supportive of severe storms was very narrow over southwest Indiana. However, very strong ascent in the vicinity of the front maintained a line of strong storms, including a couple that produced funnel clouds. Heavy rain caused some isolated flooding. The most persistent heavy rain occurred during the early morning hours in association with a strong southwest low level jet. |
