Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeConvective showers that eventually took on low-topped supercell thunderstorm-like characteristics over the near shore waters produced several waterspouts southeast of Kenosha. A nearby boundary, warm Lake Michigan waters in the middle to upper 60s, surface to 850 mb temperature difference increasing to 15-20c with convective cloud depth reaching about 20K feet all contributed to the waterspouts.||The waterspouts remained off shore and did not affect any watercraft.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeGeneral public took photographs and video of waterspout #3 developing just west of waterspout #2 and moving east to southeast further into Lake Michigan, away from the lakeshore. No watercraft were affected by this waterspout.
