Thunderstorms that developed in the early afternoon quickly became severe in Bureau and Putnam Counties producing hail as large as golf balls and winds as strong as 70 miles per hour. In addition to the hail and strong winds, thunderstorms also produced heavy rain with rainfall reports ranging from 1.13 inches of rain in Mercer County to 2.53 inches of rain in Henry County. |
