Although surface temperatures were unseasonably cool, relatively cold air aloft with this low resulted in scattered to numerous showers by early afternoon; some of which produced funnel clouds over the southern South Plains. Numerous photos of these funnels were taken by area residents with no definitive evidence of any becoming tornadic. |
