Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA small tropical low that moved inland along the south central Louisiana coast from late in the evening hours on July 5 into the early morning hours of July 6, continued northwest into east Texas from July 7 into July 8. This system brought several rainbands across southeast Texas, one of which produced a waterspout over Sabine Lake.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeKFDM-TV reported a waterspout near of the Total Petrochemical Refinery northeast of Port Arthur. Video from the public showed this waterspout lasting for several minutes, and possibly moving inland as a tornado across the marshes along the Neches River near the Rainbow Bridge.
