Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA cumulus cloud line developed over the Lower Florida Keys during the afternoon of October 18, 2008. A few waterspouts were observed in association with this cloud line offshore the Atlantic side of the island chain.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeA waterspout was observed 10 miles south southeast of Key West. The waterspout was observed as a condensation funnel cloud extending halfway down from cloud base. The condensation funnel receded to cloud base and immediately reformed as a narrow rope-like cloud extending down to the horizon.
