| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | At the surface, a trough lingered over Lake Erie, northern OH, and northwest PA during the morning of the 7th as a low moved north-northeastward, along a surface front, from northeastern Lake Ontario to southwestern QC. Behind the low, a northwesterly mean low-level flow of sufficiently-cold and moist air across relatively-warm Lake Erie yielded appreciable lake-induced instability and allowed several bands of lake-effect rain showers to stream southeastward over and downwind of the lake. Non-mesocyclonic waterspouts accompanied some of these showers offshore Conneaut, OH and Lake City, PA. |
