At the surface, several wandering surface boundaries initiated isolated convection the afternoons and evenings of the 6th, 7th and 8th. A few of these storms produced funnel clouds which never touched the ground, though they garnered a lot of social media attention. Isolated instances of strong winds and severe hail were also noted across parts of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. |
