Scattered showers and storms developed mainly over northern and eastern Iowa, which resulted in a few reports of severe hail of penny to quarter size, as well as a report of a severe wind gust around 60mph mainly east of I-35. Wind damage was reported in Marshall county, with no other reports of damage otherwise. Due to the presence of surface vorticity with some enhanced stretching over northern Iowa, a funnel cloud also occurred in the afternoon, particularly over Kossuth county. |
