| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Lake Erie remained along the northwestern flank of the Bermuda-Azores subtropical surface high pressure ridge on the 28th into the 29th before a cold front swept southeastward across the lake during the late morning of the 29th. Behind the front, a secondary trough axis swept generally southward across Lake Erie during the afternoon before another ridge built from the Canadian Prairies and northern Great Plains during the rest of the 29th. ||Ahead of the cold front, Lake Erie resided in an environment comprised of moderate to strong effective bulk shear and primarily moderate to strong MUCAPE. Multiple rounds of multicell thunderstorms persisted generally eastward across Lake Erie during the afternoon of the 28th through early morning of the 29th and generated gale-force peak convective wind gusts along the OH shore. During the afternoon of the 29th, a couple of non-mesocyclonic waterspouts were generated by the updrafts of cumuliform clouds that accompanied the aforementioned secondary surface trough axis and a downshear gust front. |
| Event narrativeevent_narrative | Waterspout accompanied a line of cumuliform clouds, some of which were associated with rain showers. These clouds and showers were present along a downshear gust front. |
