| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A cold front was quickly moving through the region on September 12th. Overall atmospheric moisture was relatively low which limited convective coverage. However, as the boundary approached local coastal waters, it was able to tap into that low level moisture. One storm moving into Lake Pontchartrain was able to rotate enough to produce a waterspout as it reached a region of decreased low level friction of water compared to land. |
| Event narrativeevent_narrative | Received multiple reports or a very thin rope waterspout over Lake Pontchartrain just south of Old Spanish Trail. |
