Weather forecast office sourcewfo_sourceBroadcast Media
Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA cold front stalled across Texas, Arkansas and through Tennessee. This boundary provided an unstable atmosphere as far south of the northern Gulf Coast. Local precipitable water values were very high, well in excess of 2 inches. Thus, the environment was primed for widespread convection. One of those storms along the Mississippi Sound was able to intensify enough to produce a waterspout.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeBroadcast media relayed a photo of a waterspout north of Ship Island.
