Weather forecast office sourcewfo_sourceEmergency Manager
Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA surface front began to stall across SE GA with prevailing westerly steering flow and a dominant west coast sea breeze regime across NE FL. As diurnally driven showers and storms formed east of the inland progressing west coast sea breeze, a short wave trough passed overhead which enhanced convective coverage and intensity in the afternoon and evening. The east coast sea breeze was pinned near the Atlantic coast due to stronger westerly flow, and convergence near the sea breezes enhanced convection over a moist and unstable airmass.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeCitizen reported a waterspout offshore of Palm Coast and then Flagler county emergency management reported a funnel cloud that developed into a waterspout southeast of Marineland.
