| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Waterspouts were observed in association with a remnant cumulus cloud line that drifted south from the Lower Florida Keys over Hawk Channel. The cloud line became enhanced as a cold front approached from the northwest. |
| Event narrativeevent_narrative | Two waterspouts were observed via the Florida Keys NWS webcams about 5 miles southwest of Key West. The first waterspout was narrow and rope-like with a visible spray ring. The condensation cloud extended three-quarters of the way from cloud base to the surface. The second waterspout was wider and more vertical, with the condensation cloud extending only halfway down from cloud base to the surface. Movement of the waterspouts was toward the west-southwest. |
