Clear skies, light winds and inversion conditions allowed for areas of dense fog to form in the San Joaquin Valley overnight reducing visibility to as low as an eighth of a mile. The fog remained persistent in a few spots until late morning. A low pressure system moving across the Pacific Northwest on October 30 provided for enough mixing and cloud cover the following night to inhibit fog formation. |
