Warm temperatures west of the mountains and in the deserts resulted, as well as widespread dense fog. Temperatures soared in the upper 80s to low 90s in many desert and valley communities on the 9th and 10th, with highs topping out at 94 in Anaheim, Corona and Palm Springs. Many coast and valley locations reported dense fog some nights between the 6th and 13th, where visibility was less than 1/4 mile.
