Around 815 am, a semi hauling steel pipe crashed into a train at the crossing on Illinois Route 4 near Lamb Road. The truck burst into flames, but the driver was able to escape from the truck. He sustained moderate burns and was transported to a local hospital. Also, a two car accident occurred on Illinois Route 108 near the intersection with Standard City Road, just east of Carlinville. Two occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital. |
