| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Humidity was high in the low levels of the atmosphere on January 7th, winds were light and skies were generally clear. These conditions set the stage for the formation of fog, and indeed, patchy dense fog developed across portions of the Imperial valley during the morning hours. At about 0800PST a member of the public reported visibility near 1/4 mile about 1 mile northwest of the town of Imperial. A Dense Fog Advisory was in effect at the time of the report. Fortunately there were no reports of accidents due to the sharply restricted visibility. |
