| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Humidity was high across the south-central deserts, including the greater Phoenix area, during the morning hours on January 7th, and conditions were favorable for the formation of fog. Areas of dense fog developed starting in the early morning, and the fog affected communities such as Tolleson, Maricopa and Casa Grande. The public reported visibility below one quarter mile in dense fog in both Maricopa and Tolleson, and a trained spotter indicated that visibility had dropped to less than 1/16 of a mile near Interstate 10 and Florence Boulevard 4 miles east of Casa Grande. Dense Fog Advisories were issued in response to the sharply lowered visibility and fortunately, no accidents were reported. |
