Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeAreas of dense fog developed over the Texas Panhandle and within portions of the Pecos Valley of New Mexico during the early morning hours of September 28th. Visibility was reported below an eighth of a mile in a couple locations within De Baca and Chaves counties. A woman and her one-year old son were killed by a semi trailer while attempting to cross the south bound lanes of U.S. 285 at mile marker 96 south of Roswell. The two were pronounced dead at the scene. Fog and low visibility were noted as factors in the accident.
