This system spread precipitation northward into Central California during the afternoon and evening hours and brought half to three quarters of an inch of rainfall to much of the Tehachapi Mountains and a quarter to half of an inch of rainfall to the Kern County Deserts and the south end of the San Joaquin Valley. Areas further north picked up between a tenth to a quarter of an inch of precipitation with light snow accumulations in the southern Sierra Nevada above 8000 feet. Skies then cleared out by the morning of March 11, and areas of dense fog formed over the San Joaquin Valley with several stations reporting visibility below a quarter mile by sunrise. The fog burned off between 830 and 1000 am.
