High pressure strengthened off the California coast behind this system on the 26th and build inland by the morning of the 27th. Freezing fog impacted travel along State Route 58 during the early morning hours of the 27th. An area of dense fog later formed along the State Route 99 corridor late in the morning from Merced to Madera. The fog dissipated by midday.
