Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeWidespread dense fog blanketed most of southeast Missouri during the early morning hours. Visibility was reduced to one-quarter mile or less. The dense fog was over most of southeast Missouri with the exception of the extreme southeast counties of Mississippi and New Madrid. The dense fog occurred on the back side of high pressure over the Appalachian Mountains. A light south wind flow of humid air contributed to the dense fog.
