Visibilities were frequently reduced to less than one quarter of a mile, prompting the issuance of a Dense Fog Advisory. At approximately 6:40 AM CST, a 10-car accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-74 just west of Danville in Vermilion County. One man was killed in the crash and several other people were injured.
