The driver of the tractor trailer turned left onto US Highway 27 into the path of one of the vehicles. Three additional vehicles then crashed into the tractor trailer. Florida Highway Patrol stated that they believed the dense fog played an issue of visibility for the drivers. The crash resulted in one fatality, two serious injuries and two minor injuries (all occupants of the vehicles which impacted the tractor trailer, the tractor trailer driver was not injured). |
