As the stalled front began retreating westward during the early evening hours the freezing fog followed and spread across the Oklahoma Panhandle. Visibilities dropped to less than a quarter mile with temperatures in the 20s.The freezing fog dissipated during the early evening hours of the 9th as low level mixing increased.
