| episode_narrative | Deepening low pressure over the Plains moving northeast towards Minnesota brought a push of warm air over a deep snow pack across southern Wisconsin. The increasing moisture injected into the boundary layer from melting snow produced widespread dense fog over South Central and Southeast Wisconsin from the evening of December 30th into the afternoon of December 31st. Visibilities of 1/4 mile or less developed over southwest sections of Wisconsin the evening of December 29th, dissipated in spots for a time during the day on the 30th, then re-developed and spread to the northeast during the night of December 30th. |
