Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeEasterly flow, allowing for an influx of low-level moisture from the Chesapeake Bay, allowed for fog development across portions of eastern Pennsylvania during the early morning hours of June 17, 2025. Fog quickly became dense in the rugged terrain of Schuylkill County, allowing for an extended period of visibilities dropping near and below a quarter of a mile through the mid-morning hours of June 17th. Low visibility, due to fog, caused a motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles on the northbound lane of Interstate 81 causing one injury. A speed restriction was in place due to fog and low visibility on Interstate 81 at the time of the incident.
