Once winds diminished overnight, some patchy dense fog formed in the Joaquin Valley towards daybreak on December 30; but the fog not last long. A more noticeable impact was fog resulting from upslope winds over Interstate 5 near Tejon Pass and on SR 58 near Tehachapi Pass where fog impacted travel for a few hours during the afternoon and early evening of December 30.
