Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA low cloud deck remained over the San Joaquin Valley during the afternoon and evening of Christmas Day. The low cloud deck lowered back down to the valley floor overnight and widespread dense fog prevailed for the fourth consecutive morning over the San Joaquin Valley on December 26. By late morning the flog lifted into a stratus deck which finally dissipated by late afternoon as an incoming storm provided for some mixing to take place over the area.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeVisibility below a quarter mile was reported in Bakersfield. Several webcams showed visibility below 1000 feet.
