| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A multiple vehicle accident occurred on Jewel Crowe Road near Blue Springs in Worth County due to dense fog around 7:05 am. When the Battalion Chief arrived on scene, he radioed out for all incoming response to use caution as there was zero visibility. The accident scene at Jewel Crowe was in a section of the road that dips down near the creek. This was a 5 vehicle accident that involved a school bus. There were 4 students on the bus that had minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals/doctors by their parents to be examined. There were two fatalities. Both fatalities were the female drivers of two separate vehicles involved. Those 2 vehicles did have a head on collision. In one of those vehicles there were 2 passengers: a 16 year old female that was transported by helicopter to Macon in critical condition. The other passenger was a baby that had no injuries. The last two vehicles involved were both trucks, and those drivers were male and were out of their vehicles with no apparent injuries when personnel arrived on scene. Another Worth County School bus came upon the accident site and was barely able to keep from colliding with the other 5 vehicles because of the limited visibility. |
