| episode_narrative | A low pressure system dropping southward through the Great Basin region pushed a strong cold front through central California which produced a period of very strong winds along with areas of blowing dust during the late morning and early afternoon hours of November 25. Several stations in the Kern County Deserts and in the Tehachapi and Lake Isabella areas measured gusts exceeding 50 mph while a few locations measured gusts exceeding 70 mph. The strong winds caused at least three semi trucks to be blown over near Mojave and briefly closed State Route 14 due to blowing dust reducing visibility to near zero. In addition, several stations in the San Joaquin Valley measured wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph and blowing dust resulted in a multi-vehicle collision near Caruthers along State Route 41. The winds decreased by early evening as colder air settled into the area. |
| event_narrative | Broadcast media report of State Route 14 being closed northeast of Mojave due to near zero visibility from blowing dust. |
