| episode_narrative | Thunderstorms developed to the southeast of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area during the afternoon hours on October 21st. Although the majority of storms that developed produced only large hail and little in terms of damaging winds, a few storms generated locally gusty outflow winds which managed to produced patchy dense blowing dust to the south of Casa Grande. Shortly after 1600MST a trained spotter near Arizona City reported a dust storm as blowing dust lowered visibility to one quarter of a mile. A Dust Storm Warning was issued for the area beginning at 1539MST and it remained in effect through 1630MST. No reports of accidents were received due to the sharply restricted visibility and associated hazardous driving conditions. |

According to a trained weather spotter located about 5 miles north of Arizona City, dense blowing dust lowered visibility to one quarter of a mile in a dust storm at about 1611MST. The dust storm occurred about 6 miles northwest of Eloy, at the Robson Ranch Golf Club. A Dust Storm Warning was in effect at the time; it was issued at 1605MST and remained in effect through 1700MST. No accidents were reported due to the low visibility and hazardous driving conditions. |
