| episode_narrative | Thunderstorms developed across portions of La Paz County during the evening hours on July 28th; some of the stronger storms generated gusty outflow winds in excess of 40 mph. The strong winds picked up substantial amounts of dust and sand and stirred them about leading to dust storms conditions over the eastern portion of the county. For example, at 2110MST a trained spotter in Wenden reported visibility reduced to zero miles in a dust storm along Highway 60. Trained spotters near the Maricopa County line in Centennial also reported evening dust storms along Interstate 10 when visibility was reduced to 50 feet in dense blowing dust. No accidents or injuries were reported as a result of the dust storms and the severely reduced visibility. |

At 2110MST a trained spotter in the town of Wenden reported visibility reduced to zero miles in a dust storm, on Highway 60 at milepost 62. Visibility was so low that you were only able to see across the street. At 2115MST, another trained spotter in Centennial reported a dust storm along Interstate 10 near the Maricopa County line. Visibility was reduced to near zero miles along the interstate. No accidents were reported due to the severely restricted visibility. A Dust Storm Warning was issued at 2116MST, almost immediately after receiving the spotter reports, and it was in effect until 2200MST. |
