| episode_narrative | High pressure aloft, hot temperatures and sunny skies combined to produce conditions favorable for dust devils, and a significant dust devil developed in the community of Yuma during the early afternoon on Monday, May 11th. According to reports received by the public and local media, a dust devil damaged both metal carport and patio awning structures as well as the roof of one home located approximately 2 miles southwest of Winterhaven. No injuries were reported due to the strong dust devil. |

All of this created the perfect conditions for dust devils to occur, and one particularly strong dust devil developed and affected the community of Yuma during the early afternoon. According to reports received from the public and local media, at 1440MST a dust devil damaged several metal carport and patio awning structures in the vicinity of 8th Avenue and 9th Street. The structures were reported to be dislodged as well as mangled-up. In addition, one home was reported to have received minor roof damage. |
