| episode_narrative | Severe thunderstorms developed across portions of central and southern Oklahoma during the morning of the 24th and was followed by a period of blowing dust during the late afternoon and early evening. The dust originated from eastern New Mexico and southwest Texas and was accompanied by wind gusts up to 50 mph. Visibilities were occasionally reduced to less than 3 miles. The high winds caused 5 stories of exterior paneling to blow off the west side of the Marriot hotel on Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City at approximately 1700 CST. |
