episode_narrativeA ridge of high pressure was located to the southwest of Arkansas at the middle of June. The wind flow around this high brought thunderstorms to Arkansas, primarily the northern and eastern sections, on the 13th through the 16th. A few of the storms were severe, producing large hail and damaging winds. A landspout-type tornado occurred on the 16th.
event_narrativeGusty winds from a nearby thunderstorm caused a dust storm to develop. Visibility was reduced to near zero. About a mile north of Tuckerman on Arkansas Highway 367, a 5-vehicle accident resulted. Four people involved in the accident were injured and transported to hospitals.
