episode_narrativeWinds increased ahead of a cold front and gusted to over 40 mph at times across parts of South Central Arizona. Low visibility was due to blowing dust and sand.
event_narrativeBlowing dust started to reduce the visibility around milepost 175 to 218, though it was heaviest near milepost 200 in the Eloy and Casa Grande area, where there was a good amount of loose dirt in the area. The visibility was down to less than a quarter mile at times. A spotter reported 1/4 to1/2 mile visibility north of Florence at 2 pm. Winds reached 35 mph at the nearby Casa Grande airport.
