The west-southwesterly winds did loft dirt into the air, causing widespread visibilities to drop to around 1-2 miles with isolated pockets of intense plumes leading to brownout conditions. One such location was at mile marker 66 on I-70 where a two vehicle accident occurred, causing one fatality. |
