episode_narrativeDuring the afternoon of February 26th, high winds were observed in Northwestern Kansas due to a passing cold front. The highest non-thunderstorm wind gust recorded in this region was 70 mph. These high winds allowed for localized blowing blowing dust that reduced visibilities down to a reported 0.25 statute miles. While there were hazardous traveling conditions within the region as a result, no injuries or damage were reported.
event_narrativeBlowing dust reducing the visibility down to less than a quarter mile was reported in Leoti. This also occurred with wind gusts up to 57 MPH.
