episode_narrativeDuring the afternoon and evening hours, a low pressure system moved across the Central High Plains bringing high winds and thunderstorms to Northwest Kansas. With the thunderstorms, pea to quarter sized hail was reported with winds gusting up to 67 mph reported. Due to the high winds and drought conditions over the area, blowing dust occurred across several counties with visibility ranging from 7 miles to one-quarter of a mile or less. The lowest reductions in visibility occurred in Norton and Sheridan counties.
