| episode_narrative | During the early part of the afternoon, winds shifted to the northwest across Northwest Kansas. Along with the wind shift, the winds also increased with gusts of 51-72 mph recorded via ASOS/AWOS stations and other mesonet stations for several counties along and north of I-70. The strongest winds were measured in Sherman and Rawlins counties. Dry soil conditions and the high winds produced localized areas of blowing dust across several counties with visibility ranging as low as 5 miles to near zero at times. |
