Sub-zero temperatures were reported at Omaha for 63 consecutive hours from early February 1st through February 4th. While area hospitals reported treating several people for frostbite, one frostbite victim was detailed in a newspaper article. The peak of the cold wave occurred during the morning of February 2nd with a low temperature of 23 degrees below zero at Omaha. Many locations reported lows from 20 to 25 degrees below zero that morning. |
