| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A very cold airmass invaded Southwest Idaho on the heels of a late spring storm. The combination of clear skies and light winds allowed temperatures to plunge well below freezing in the agricultural valleys during the early morning hours of May 8th and the overnight hours of the 8th and 9th. Temperatures reached 20 degrees in Mountain Home. Most observation sites recorded low temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. The hard freeze damaged fruit and field crops, including 1500 acres of sugar beets in Elmore County. |
