Ashland observed a minimum temperature of 5 below zero. | |The cold wave lasted one more night, with readings of zero to 5 below zero around dawn on the 30th. For example, Olive Hill observed minus 4. ||The 3 day cold wave finally broke on Thursday the 30th, as temperatures rose into the 35 to 40 degree range under sunshine. ||As the cold air was pouring in, a 12 inch water line broke along Carter Ave in Ashland Kentucky.
