The subfreezing temperatures threatened sensitive vegetation during the early growing season. Morning lows on the 24th ranged from 15 degrees at Boise City (Cimarron County) to 23 degrees at Slapout (Beaver County). Temperatures quickly warmed above freezing by 9:45 AM CST on the 24th.
