By the morning of April 4th, many locations had low temperatures near or below freezing. Freezing temperatures subsequently occured for the next 6 mornings. This was quite a change from temperatures in the 70s and 80s that occured earlier in the month. Vegitation was damaged or destroyed due to the freezing temperatures. In agriculture alone, 2.7 million dollars damage was reported to the wheat crop, and 3.2 million dollars damage to the fruit crop.
