Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeDuring the early to mid-morning hours on the 18th, a thin layer of ice formed on area roads in and around the Wichita area, mainly on bridges and access ramps, causing more than two-dozen automobile accidents between midnight and 9 am. The thin layer of ice formed in response to below freezing temperatures interacting with wet roadways from rainfall the day before. Some minor injuries occurred from the automobile accidents.
