This was the first of two periods of much below normal temperatures which impacted south Florida during January 2010.

Lowest temperature readings ranged from 26 at Immokalee to around 30 in Golden Gate Estates. ||Extent of crop damage is unknown for Collier County, but damage to sugarcane and seasonal vegetable and fruit crops was noted.
