| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | In the wake of the February 13th and 14th nor'easter, unseasonably cold air was drawn southward into Pennsylvania on gusty west to northwest winds on the 15th and 16th. From upper Bucks County northward through the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, morning low temperature were mainly in the positive single numbers both days. Wind chill factors reached as low as 20 degrees below zero on the Pocono Plateau and between zero and 10 degrees below zero elsewhere. The unseasonably cold weather led to pipes being burst at the Snowshoe Condominium in Mount Pocono. One family was displaced. Actual low temperatures included 3 degrees below zero at the F.E. Walter Dam (Carbon County), 1 degree in Mount Pocono (Monroe County), 4 degrees in Perkasie (Bucks County), 6 degrees in Springtown (Bucks County), 7 degrees at the Lehigh Valley International Airport, 8 degrees in Hamburg (Berks County), 10 degrees in Easton (Northampton County) and 11 degrees in Reading (Berks County). |
